"Just In Time!"

"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 b NIV).

We were running out of money that day. We actually just had a few coins left to pay for the highway toll that would get us to the airport where we were dropping off our precious friends from Switzerland. An awkward situation, but again a great opportunity for the Lord to step in and do something on our behalf, right?

As my husband said goodbye to our friend’s son Josia, just the finest 8 year old boy you can imagine, something quite unusual and unexpected happened: Josia reached into his back pocket and handed a 20 dollar bill with a smile on his face to my husband. It was his holiday money he got to spend here in America. But because his father and his friend’s father always paid for everything, he never got the chance to spend his money, except when God wanted to meet a need! Lending a hand to God and bringing about a blessing to us, my husband and I looked at each other, shook our heads in amazement and then tears began to well up in our eyes. Quite something, don’t you think so? An 8 year old boy sowing into a 53 year old man’s life!!!

Seems like God is always on time, huh? He never disappoints you and is always faithful. Sometimes He waits until your last minute, not to freak you out, but to let you know that He is never late. And you also learn, like we did, that you cannot put Him in a box. He will use whatever resources belong to Him all along to let you know that He is with you and that He cares. Then you will proclaim, "You alone are sovereign my God. I am so proud of you!"

Have a wonderfully blessed day!
