"Unbelieveable and Yet True!"

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear” (Revelation 19: 7 & 8 NIV).

We had been looking very much forward to witness the wedding day of our friends and now the day had arrived. Already when we entered the sanctuary we felt that something special was going to happen. And so there he stood, the groom dressed in a fine tuxedo and waiting to receive his bride. Then a white fine fabric was laid to make a way for the bride to walk down the aisle with her father and with much expectation in the air she finally appeared in all her beauty. Everybody rose from their seats showing her respect, honor and adoration and all eyes were now drawn on her.

At that moment the Lord took me to the wedding of the Lamb and I had to think about Him and His bride, “No that’s wrong, that is so unbelievable. Here is the groom and everybody should be looking to Him. He is the Anointed One, He is the Lamb, He is the King of Kings and the King of Glory, He is the Redeemer, the One we need to look to, but all eyes are on the bride that had been washed by the blood of the Groom.” Right then I felt the Lord’s great happiness and deep love for us. It was inexpressible, unbelievable and yet true. I felt He had waited so long for her and now finally she was indeed ready to be given to Him by His Father, a bride made suitable for Him, a bride without spots and wrinkles.

The Bride of Christ are those that have overcome, that were willing to do His will; they pressed through and endured a lot because they loved Him more than their own life. I believe it is time for the Bride of Christ to get ready for her Groom, because He is coming back very soon to receive her. It is time for the Bride of Christ to realize that she will not be a spectator at the wedding of the Lamb. She will be His bride, the one and only that has been chosen by Him and prepared for Him. What great honor, what great grace, what great plan, what a great love story! Would you like to walk down the aisle at the wedding of the Lamb? Then now is the time to make yourself available and allow Him to make you suitable for Him.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

  1. This is wonderful! Often times we look to Jesus, but yes, He is also waiting and looking for us.
